Missions are vitally important to your progressing in the game, gaining "Rare" Abilities that can only be obtained via Missions or trying to trade. Missions are easier! Plus you get exp. points and Blood for doing them. The BEST time to do Missions is when there's good Blood Magic - meaning you and your Clan members are all spinning the Wheel every time you can (every 4 hours). Zynga changed the way Missions are sorted and added a Missions Master feature in May, 2009. Information on that feature is under the Mission images. Missions were split into four categories: Fledgling (where you'll also find the "Boss" Battle), Neophyte, Adept and Savant. There are now 8 Mission Tiers as of the end of August, 2009. Without further ado, I give you the Missions. Level, the actual Mission and what Ability/Consumable (See Mission Mastery information below) you can receive are listed in order to the best of my knowledge. Yes, I did almost lose my mind and eyesight doing this! and no it's not perfect, but I wanted to get the updated Mission info to you as quickly as possible. I've cut down, resized, done what I could to try to make things load faster. |

At the beginning of May, 2009 Zynga decided to add some changes to Missions. The most obvious is, of course, the splitting of Missions into groups. There is also now a meter on the left-hand side of each Mission. The Good: Along with the Blood, Exp. and whatever Abilities you've gotten, you will also receive 1 Skill Point which you can use for any stat (if you happen to not have a lot of Energy, you might want to toss it in there!); The Maybe Not So Good (for your friends): you will get a pop-up like this (on FB): ![]() See what I have circled? SKIP. Please, please click Skip unless all your friends play VW! Otherwise every time you master a Mission that message will be put on ALL your friends' FB Home pages. Now, once you've completed all Missions in a category, you will receive a Trophy and you'll get another pop-up: ![]() That one is too good to not share. First of all, the Trophies and what they're named is imho, hilarious! And there's less chance of spamming everyones' pages with a Trophy than every time you master a Mission. Two other things that have changed with the introduction of Mission Master are - if you complete all Missions in a category you will have Fledgling, or Savant - whatever category you've last completed in front of your Vamp name. You will also see this on the Combat list. And yes, it is kind of funny to see Fledgling next to a 500+ Level Vamp! Once you've mastered more than one tier you can change the title in front of your name. Right now there's no way to NOT have a title - unless you simply don't do the MM. And why wouldn't you in your spare time? extra skill and Favor Points! ![]()
Mission Mastery Tiers! For first (basic) tier all requirements remain the same. However, for second and third tier you now need Consumables. These are NOT abilities, they are extra things needed to complete tiers 2 and 3. On the Give a Free Gift page (there is now a link to the gifting page on FB, it's the first thing you'll see on MS), you will be presented with many more choices. And you will also see under each choice either Unlocked or Locked. What is Unlocked will depend on your Level. This is also how you can gift the Consumables to Clan. They will not appear in your list of Abilities, because they aren't and afaik cannot be gifted any other way. Not ALL needed Consumables are available for gifting. Some you must complete other missions for. There are currently 18 Consumables. There are some that don't have a mission, so my guess is we should be on the lookout for a new mission tier or maybe a new Boss Fight? The () is which mission tier you can get needed Consumables, along with which can be gifted:
Charon's Obol - Gifting & Mission Rescue an Ally from the Underworld (A) Chupacabra teeth - Gifting & Mission Clear a Laboratory of Hideous Mutants (A) Coffin Nails - Mission Rescue an Ally From an Insane Asylum (F) Death Tarot Card - Gifting & Mission Face a Rival Clan Alone (A) Garlic Clove - Mission Fight a Vampire Slayer (N) Grave Dirt - Mission Destroy a Circle of Warlocks (N) Holy Water - Gifting & Mission Destroy a Renegade Vampire (F) Map Fragment - Gifting & Mission Investigate the Lair of Acanthus (D) Pentagram Shard - Gifting & Mission Destroy a Demonic Lord (S) Poisonwood Leaves - Gifting & Mission Uncover Draven's Catacombs (V) Pompeii Ash - Gifting & Mission Navigate the Labyrinth (V) Raven Feathers - Mission - "Investigate" the Chapel (V) Silver Bullet - Mission Retrieve a Lost Relic from the High Desert (A) Unholy Water - Gifting & Mission Assault Acanthus's Lair (D) Werewolf Claw - Gifting & Mission Fight a Pack of Werewolves (A) Wolfsbane - Mission Fight Ghouls in the Deep Woods (N) Wooden Stake - Mission Kill a Drug Dealer (F) As long as you have the Mission available (have unlocked it and done the first level) and the energy to do said mission, you can click on the Consumables needed and Vampire Valerie will helpfully tell you where to get the needed Consumables, with a link to the needed Mission. There is also a button to send for help from Clan to get the needed item! This is an example of doing a mission showing both a Consumable "drop" and a Consumable Use. Please note this also shows the amount of Mission Mastery (percentage) in the box with the "drops". This may help you figure out how many of which items you will need for Tiers 2 and 3 of Mission Mastery: ![]() Please note! Once you do a mission with a Consumable, it disappears. So, you will need a collection of each one to complete all mission tiers. Here is a SS of my own Stats page showing what Consumables I had at the time: ![]() You can find all Consumables you have on your Stats page, there is now a tab called Mission Items, then your Offensive, Defensive, Movement Abilities, Minions and Trophies As you complete each Mission Tier you will receive 1 SP for each mission completed and 1 FP for each Tier completed. You also will have more Titles available. Exp: Fledgling, Greater Fledgling (Tier 2), Superior Fledgling (Tier 3). Your experience points remain the same for Tier 1, and can increase for Tiers 2 and 3.
