 Below the city, in an ancient crypt, you find a chest of wood and bone. Occult symbols glow faintly on the wood. As you gaze at the box, a voice echoes inside your head: "I am Akem Manah, the demon of evil purpose. After centuries of watching the humans on this planet grow, struggle and die; I have grown bored. I am tired of watching humans with their feeble mortal limitations. I wish to see the evolution of the world's strongest vampire. Grow in power, and return here every day so I may view your progress, and I shall reward you."
 If you click on Bazaar, you will see a submenu with Crypt. Click that and you will see the Chest and the locks much better:  Now, if you look at the red lettering you will see how much time is needed until you MAY get to unlock a Lock and have the Chest open and gifts fly up to you. Here's the thing. That clock does not run down in real time. You must refresh the page to keep checking how much time is left. This can be nervewracking, especially when you're down to about 5 seconds. If the Chest is NOT ready to open, you will then see Come back in 23 hours and 59 minutes. And you'll want to throw something at the monitor. Basically, the Chest will open when it wants to, not when you want it to. Just be alert and be ready! The Chest will show as being open and a faint "glow" will come out of it. CLICK THE CHEST!! There are a total as of May, 2009 of seven Locks. The Chest will normally open 3 to 5 (if you're lucky) times. And there are times when the Chest opens and you get nothing. I had that happen the second time the Chest opened, grrr. And I only was able to open the Chest 3 times. So, why bother. What can be so great that you go through this. First, you get a cool Minion with a 30k per hour income. And you can get Abilities from the Chest that you cannot get normally. You may be able to trade for these, but you had better have a ton of really great Abilities to trade! Dodge Daylight 17A/17D
Once you have unlocked the last Lock and received your gift, you will then see this image, both very small on your Coffin and full size on the Crypt page:  That image will remain indefinitely unless and until the Zynga devs decide to add more Locks. New as of June, 2009! This is something you get to do once a day, and it is timed to 24 hours. You get one free Gamble. You will see this on your Coffin/News page. Check to be sure it IS the free Gamble, otherwise it will cost you 10 Favor Points. Click on Gamble and you will be taken to a page with 3 chests. It is random!! You can get
a great rare or a not so great rare or even a Mission ability. But that's why they call it a
Gamble! It's a great addition because there is that chance of getting something really good
and it gives poor old Akem something do once you've unlocked all your locks *hears him
muttering and laughing to himself in the background*.
